These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the AroundYou mobile application (the “App”) operated by AroundYou (“us”, “we”, or “our”).
By accessing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, then you may not access the App.
User Accounts
- You must be at least 13 years old to use the App.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password.
- You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
User Content
- You retain ownership of any content you post on the App.
- By posting content on the App, you grant us a non-exclusive, transferable, sub-licensable, royalty-free, and worldwide license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, and display such content.
- All posts on AroundYou are accessible to nearby users and remain active for a limited time period. Users can interact with posts only while they are active; once the time expires, the posts will no longer be displayed to other users.
Prohibited Conduct
- You may not use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
- You may not post content that is defamatory, obscene, abusive, offensive, or violates any third-party rights.
Disclaimer of Warranties
- The App is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
- We make no warranties, expressed or implied, regarding the reliability, accuracy, or availability of the App.
Security Mechanisms and Content Policy
At AroundYou, we take the safety and quality of content very seriously. Our users have the power to control their own experience and ensure a positive environment for everyone. Below are the key features and policies related to security and content:
- Blocking Abusive Users: Users have the ability to block other users who engage in abusive or inappropriate behavior. By blocking a user, no content from that user will be displayed to the person who blocked them.
- Reporting Objectionable Content: Users can report posts, comments, and user profiles if they encounter content that violates our Terms of Use or is deemed objectionable. These reports will result in the blocking of the reported user and the removal of the reported content. All reported content will be reviewed by the app developers, and both the content and its owner will be subject to disciplinary measures within 24 hours.
These features and policies are designed to enable our community to actively contribute to the filtering and moderation of content on AroundYou, ensuring a safe and positive experience for all users.
Limitation of Liability
- We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
- Our total liability arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to us, if any, during the six-month period preceding the event giving rise to the liability.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of AroundYou, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. By continuing to access or use the App after any revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
